A young reluctant leader, Kai, must guide a fractured community across a broken world in search of people, resources and hope, confronting betrayal and truth. On the journey they discover that togetherness and unity are the real resources needed for survival in this epic post-apocalyptic musical.
Ever since I was little, I was fascinated by musicals. As a 3 year old, I would watch Singin’ in the Rain and Guys and Dolls on repeat on our laserdisc player.
In 2023 I began exploring a story about society being rebuilt from the ashes. Armed with a basic concept I approached my good friend Jerome Kurtenbach to write the first pass on the book. Jerome and I worked on the script for roughly two years. We staged three readings and configured the story many times over, strengthening the plot.
In June 2026 we will launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund the next level of production: a fully produced six-story demo EP and a fully staged reading in Hollywood, CA on July 17, 2026.
